About NAFLD Fibrosis Score
The NAFLD Fibrosis Score is a non-invasive scoring system used to assess the likelihood of advanced fibrosis in patients with Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD).
Interpretation:
- Score < -1.455: Low risk of advanced fibrosis
- Score -1.455 to 0.676: Indeterminate risk
- Score > 0.676: High risk of advanced fibrosis
Clinical Significance:
The NAFLD Fibrosis Score helps clinicians identify patients who may need further evaluation or more aggressive management for advanced liver fibrosis.
