Creatinine Clearance Calculator
About Creatinine Clearance
Creatinine clearance is an estimate of the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) used to assess kidney function.
Formula:
This calculator uses the Cockcroft-Gault equation:
CrCl = [(140 - age) × weight] / (72 × serum creatinine) × (0.85 if female)
Clinical Significance:
Creatinine clearance is used to estimate renal function, adjust medication dosages, and assess the progression of kidney disease.
